Founder story
Built By A Coach, Equipment Nerd, And Software Developer
Welcome to HypertroFit. I am Kyle Blandford, the founder, creator of GymSmith and Macro Chief, and a coach who has spent years helping people build stronger bodies inside real-life constraints.
Fitness became personal early. I was born with Pectus Excavatum, a caved-in chest that I internalized as a character flaw long before I understood it as a medical condition. I eventually went through the Nuss procedure, rebuilt from months of forced rest, and used training as the path back to confidence.
That path led to bodybuilding, a Kinesiology degree from Miami University, personal training and nutrition certifications, and HypertroFit coaching clients across the United States. After hundreds of clients, the same question kept showing up: how do you make the right fitness decision when real life, equipment, food, and time all collide?
That is where software became the obvious next step. Macro Chief removed friction from nutrition by automating the repetitive parts. GymSmith brings that same idea to the home gym: clear the obstacles, measure the tradeoffs, and make it easier to build a space that actually supports the goal.
